SYSTEM FOR TIMBER BUILDINGS RAISED INSTALLATION

UP LIFT

New Product available from January 2025

UP LIFT solves the problem of tolerances in the installation of timber walls on concrete kerb at the root, because it allows the casting to be carried out after the walls have been installed.

CHARACTERISTICS

Traditionally, reinforced concrete kerbs are made before the walls are installed, but with a geometric tolerance that is incompatible with the precision of timber walls, resulting in problems on site due to the lack of alignment between wall and kerb edge and levelling of the installation surface.

UP LIFT allows the reinforced concrete kerb to be built after the timber walls have been installed, so that these inconveniences are eliminated. The builder of the timber building places the UP LIFT supports on the reinforced concrete foundation and lays the walls on top of the supports. Following the assembly of the timber structures, the kerb can be constructed, which acts as a transfer element for the compressive stresses from the walls.

UP LIFT allows the construction of timber walls resting on a reinforced concrete kerb. The raised installation allows the wall to be moved away from the ground for optimal durability.

The reinforced concrete kerb is executed after the construction of the timber building, allowing maximum freedom in positioning the walls on the reinforced concrete foundation.

The supports carry the weight of the building up to the completion of the reinforced concrete kerb and resist tensile and shear forces caused by earthquake or wind.

FIELDS OF USE

UP LIFT is used for ground connection of timber walls installed on reinforced concrete kerb. The kerb is cast after the construction of the timber building.

UP LIFT can be fastened with LBA nails, LBS screws or HBS PLATE screws.

UP LIFT is suitable for installing:
• TIMBER FRAME walls
• CLT and LVL panel walls

In the case of timber walls that have deteriorated due to the presence of moisture, UP LIFT can be used as a temporary support for structural restorability creating a sector kerb, cutting the deteriorated part of the wall and gradually replacing it with a concrete kerb, which separates the timber from the ground and ensures ideal durability of the timber structure.
